Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a relaxing, light touch body healing method that effectively treats a wide range of conditions helping to: create optimal conditions for health, encourage vitality, and facilitate a sense of
well-being.
Craniosacral Therapy works on people of all ages and all levels of health, including newborns and children, as well adults and the elderly, and can be remarkably effective in acute or chronic cases. CST is performed with the client fully clothed on a comfortable massage table in a quiet, nurturing environment.
Craniosacral Therapy gently stimulates your craniosacral system to help release tension held deep in the bodies connective tissue and central nervous system. The craniosacral system consists of your sacrum and spinal cord as well as the bones, membranes, connective tissue, and fluids surrounding your brain. The craniosacral fluid gently pulses in rhythmic, wavelike motions from the top of your head, down the spinal column to your sacrum. When this flow is blocked, you can get any number of symptoms, including pain, anxiety, or depression. It can affect your digestion, immune system, mood and more.
Improving the function of the craniosacral system brings the body into better balance physically, spiritually, and emotionally. CST improves the flow of fluids and energy in the body. The light touch nature of this kind of bodywork gently stimulates and complements your body’s natural healing process and vital force allowing the body to self-correct. When there is better flow of fluids and energy in the body, old and new symptoms can be transformed.
The kind of CST that I do addresses the physical body as well as the energy body. Even though this style of craniosacral therapy is gentle, it is deep and profound work with the “whole-person” in mind. The inter-connections of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is great for general health and is used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is an effective tool for working with a range symptoms, including:
Headaches, including migraines
Chronic or acute neck and back pain
Stress and emotional difficulties
Tension-related problems
Accident or injury trauma
Allergies and sinus issues
Fatigue
Concussions
Temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ)
Digestive issues
well-being.
